March 2023 was strong in fly fishing with rivers being low all month long and weather sunny yet cold. All that changed with April - rain arrived and more or less endured all April. Levels of most Slovenian rivers were sustainably fishable, yet having strong currents all the time. Hatch appeared yes, but were week and short lasting. Except maybe few days on the Idrijca river when the hatch of Ephemera lasted all day long - for few days only.. All the rest had to be done by nymphing or streamer fly fishing. And we had delivered those in our Fly sale! Worth mentioning also few hard to get items to boost the flotation of dry flies - TMC Line of chemical agents "par excellence"!
