snow in april
As we.v been experiencing true summer in early April, with the temps reaching up to 28 Celzius, mid April delivered - a shock! Snow and massive temperature drop, reaching close to zero at April 20th. How can fly fishing react to this? Well - unpredictable of course! We had been seeing grayling rising on large klinks and we had seen days when the fish was nailed to the bottom, reacting to nothing you would be offering to them.. True, you needed the whole arsenal of your fly box to match - the hatch if to say so.. Now - what follows? With the temperature starting to go up by the ends of this week - snow melt shall be triggered for sure! But since so deep towards the May month - dry fly moments shall be there as well - just keep your eyes open on what is going on at the river during your fishing day. And do dare to offer large dry - even if you do not see a single rise on the surface! Else - Leechies and nymphos will still be doing a good job in the weeks to follow!
